憂鬱男人(Melancholy Man)-憂鬱藍調樂團(Moody Blues)

1941年次的麥克潘德(Mike Pinder)，曾是憂鬱藍調樂團(Moody Blues)的三大主唱之一及鍵盤手。該團在1970年發表專輯《平衡的疑問》(A Question Of Balance)專輯，其中的一首歌曲〈憂鬱男人〉(Melancholy Man)，就是出於麥克潘德的手筆。許多玩鍵盤的人最終都會嚐試新世紀音樂(New Age Music)創作，今日再聽這首歌曲，其電子合成器音色的探索依舊氣勢磅礡，無怪乎麥克潘德至今依然活躍在新世紀音樂的領域。

這首歌除了前奏之外，只用了3個和絃，但該團以出色的和聲，搭配吉他、貝斯、鼓及襯底的鍵盤，營造出極度的憂鬱惆悵。有人選這首歌為失戀之人必聽的歌曲，不無道理。而歌詞當中這句「因為他看不到，你我所見」正切中憂鬱之人內心的吶喊。
