愛黛兒(Adele)的〈永遠相挺〉(Rolling In The Deep)

英國女伶愛黛兒(Adele)於2010年11月發行紅遍全球的《二十一歲》(21)專輯，其中"Rolling In The Deep"一曲紅遍大街小巷，澎湃的節奏藍調，唱到許多的人內心深處。這位新靈魂歌姬完美揉合了靈魂、藍調、鄉村和福音，陪伴了迷失在青春路上，徘徊在失戀愛情邊緣的人們。

"rolling in the deep"源自於英國俚語"roll deep"，意思是擁有一個永遠幫你撐腰的人, 當遇到困難時總是有個人會幫你分擔。作者認為「她的男友會一直在她身邊支持她」，但事與願違。坊間中譯版本甚多，諸如怒火中燒、愛恨交織、內心翻騰、墜入深淵‧‧‧等等，但依照英國俚語"roll deep"的意涵，正確的翻譯應為永遠相挺，也就是永遠的依靠。

愛黛兒曾對滾石雜誌表示:「這就是我對談感情和整張專輯的感覺，尤其是這首單曲Rolling in the Deep。這就是我的感覺，我以為可以一直擁有，但到最後什麼也沒有。」這位幕後功臣前男友的真實身分，就是攝影師艾力克斯史杜洛克(Alex Sturrock)。史杜洛克在英國衛報(Guardian)以及雜誌VICE工作，在2008年夏天到2009年的八月間和愛黛兒相戀，同時也曾為她參與上一張專輯《十九歲》(19)巡迴演出。
歌曲由愛黛兒和保羅艾普沃思(Paul Epwort)共同創作於愛黛兒與前男友分手之後的一個下午。愛黛兒稱這首歌曲「是我對『被告知自己的生活將會變得索然無味孤獨垃圾，如果我不繼續這段感情就會成為一個弱者』之後的反應。當時我感覺很侮辱，就寫下了這首去你的(fuck you)歌曲。」。
〈永遠相挺〉(Rolling In The Deep)一曲狠狠地修理諷刺了愛黛兒的前男友，由愛黛兒、保羅艾普沃斯編寫及製作，其創作靈感是愛黛兒在錄音室中得到的。愛黛兒稱她在寫歌時突然想到一段旋律，一直在她的腦海裡重複，於是她唱出了歌曲的第一句歌詞。歌曲製作過程中，保羅艾普沃斯負責歌曲的貝斯、古典吉他、打擊樂器以及人聲的伴唱部分，尼爾考利(Neil Cowley)、里歐泰勒(Leo Taylor)分別負責鋼琴和鼓的伴奏。
錄音室版本為C大調(現場演唱則降為B小調)，愛黛兒的音域從B♭3跨域到D5(超過兩個八度)，歌曲的高音突破了愛黛兒以往的極限。歌詞恰到好處地描繪了愛人背叛而內心掙扎糾結的情緒，滄桑跟沙啞的嗓音讓人難忘，並為之執著感動。配器、編曲形成強大的爆發力，流露憤怒、復仇、心碎、自我反省的情緒。愛黛兒藉著這句歌詞「直到狂熱的地步帶我遠離黑暗(Reaching a fever pitch and it's bring me out the dark)」，點出了整首歌曲的意義。
音樂MV由導演山姆布朗(Sam Brown)執導，在一棟廢棄的房子裡拍攝。可能是為了讓觀眾把焦點都放在愛黛兒的歌喉上，MV看起來沒頭沒尾，完全沒有情節可言，不過整個場景佈置得別具匠心，洋溢著巴洛克的建築風格，愛黛兒坐在兩間分別裝滿水杯和破碎玻璃的房子之間，牆上掛著許多白色的布。另一個房間裡，一個鼓手背對著鏡頭在樓梯後打鼓，瓷盤被扔向牆面打碎。隨著音樂的鼓點不停地震動，一個神秘人(編舞者詹妮弗懷特)在一個布滿白麵粉和灰塵的房間跳舞，整個MV在一座白色的模型城市因五盞燈泡爆裂而起火燃燒中結束。
